Sorry I haven't been posting a lot but it has been a crazy week with finals and this weekend. Oh and if anything looks weird its because this is being sent from my phone.
On Thursday I had four tests in 3 classes for exams. The first two were in micro-biology a fourth test on diseases caused by microbes that had so much material it was all I studied from Monday to Wednesday night. The final was composed of questions from previous exams so I went through the keys he provided and it was very easy. After this test I had 6 hours to study for my final in medical sociology but she told us what was on the test so I studied that and it wasn't too bad. (I will reference this teacher again later on). Now with thirty minutes to study for my stat final I was not concerned I only needed a 30% to secure an A. This test was hard and if I needed a better grade I don't know if I could have gotten it. After this long day me and Amanda ordered pizza and watched TV to relax. My teacher from medical sociology told Mr before the test that she was very impressed with my work throughout the semester.
The next day I was frantically packing trying to move out as soon as I could and with Ryan's help it went quite smoothly. After carrying Amanda's heavy full refrigerator it was tome to go. So Ryan and I headed off to my house to drop off some stuff for the rest of the weekend. After some intense Mario cart battles on Wii and burgers and sausage for dinner we went to bed.
The next day me and Ryan head out to his house a 3 hour drive that passes uneventfully. Then after stopping to pick up some alcohol (we're 21). Once we arrive we hang for a while and the go out on the river my first time on a jetski and it was awesome we were tubing for a while and at one point I got about 5 feet of air. Then I tried wake boarding which was awesome after a handful of failures I managed to get up and eventually jumped and was one handed. After this we were tired and came in as more people were arriving.
That night we had great food played tons of beer pong and pool basketball which was essentially full contact. At one point I was thrown in with my drink but I managed to keep it out of the water like champ.
Also I played pitch with Ryan his parents and the neighbours which was tons of fun. Now I'm just enjoying the wonderful cooking, company, and view waiting for Tuesday when I'll be heading home.
This week has been great and makes me look forward to the rest of the summer.

A Crazy Week

Hey Hey an Excellent Day
So I know what you're thinking 2 posts in one day that's madness, but believe me after this mornings post so much has happened I had to make a new post.
As you may or may not know I took the MCATs on April 9th and the scores were released today. I was pretty much hoping for anything above a 30, but my combined score was 34M and I am ecstatic. My happiness was bittersweet however because a very close friend who helped me a lot in college and with my MCATs didn't do as well as they hoped and will have to retake the test.
Other good news includes that on my last exam and all of my exams in Psych 331 I have gotten at least 100%, and I only lost a single point on my correlation project. This means I have to score above about 20% on an open note open book exam in a class where I may have missed 10 total points in the class so my A is all but guaranteed.
The third thing that happened is that in my Psych class a person came and mentioned a research opportunity over the summer with the possibility of becoming a paid internship over the next semester. This would be for 3 weeks and would be great because I have been wondering what I should do for the summer for a long time and it was becoming a serious concern.
Anyway my computer was freaking out and I have to edit a final paper add citations and do my personal reflection so I will talk to you later but I was having such a great day I figured I'd let you know.

So I had what I was going to write about all planned out and I even had a decent title picked, but then I realized something and I had to change topics. One of my very close childhood friends who is essentially my brother posted on my Facebook wall about how I was his big brother and it meant a lot. I completely agree with him there he has been like my brother and he's a great guy. Even though I could spend this whole post talking about James and how great he is and all the things we did in childhood that's not what I'm going to do. I want to talk about friendship and impact.
Most days I feel like what I assume everyone else feels like one of many people who are all slightly different and not overly noteworthy. There are some lessons you have to learn multiple times I guess but my friend's post made me realize that I do have impacts on the people around me just as much as I know people impact me. It's surprising that I can forget how important one person can be knowing the many times in my life one of my remarkable friends has come from no where when I need them most.
Friendship isn't something I think I can define anymore because I always thought you had to work to keep relationships going and try and hang out with friends, but I've been noticing recently that you have many more friends than the people you eat lunch with and there are a lot of people who will help you if you let them.
When counting my blessings I count my friends twice.

Less Than 1 Week
Only 4 more days of classes until the summer!
It's been a long day today. First I went to Port Discovery with my HAPP 354 class to talk about public health specifically fire safety. This counted as my final for the class so it wasn't too bad but there were many fewer kids then the first time we went so it did get boring at times. I also spent the rest of the day finishing the co-op campaign of portal 2 with my girlfriend Amanda, and now I'm here. Sorry for the lack of a post on Friday I had some Supreme Court to work on and I went to an awards ceremony to see Amanda get recognized.
I don't know if I'll be around much this week because I have an exam, a 10 page paper, and two HPEC documents due before Thursday. However on Tuesday I do get my MCAT results back so that should be interesting. Also on Wednesday I'm swearing in the new SGA officers. All in all a busy and exciting week but it doesn't leave much time for blogging.
In other news I recently heard Reel Big Fish's song Drunk Again and am totally in love with it (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EZ22Wnp08Po). In the future I might make these hyperlinks but right now I don't really mind. Also you'll notice I got all my tabs set up as 4 different blogs but I think the navigation isn't too bad. Anyway there's a lack of content on INDS and Pokemon but that's just because I've been so busy. I hope you'll take the time to check back and look at my other pages in the future.
Interesting Facts:
I once appeared with my band Altar Ego in Carroll magazine as the Bassist. I have also been in several other bands but many were short lived
Lungfish my favorite fish can encase themselves in mucus and greatly reduce their metabolic activity allowing them to survive for up to a year under a dried lake bed. You also might occasionally here the lungfish enthusiast call them the only fish you can fish for with shovels.
